One of the leading social media platforms that are being used today by people and businesses a like is Twitter. This platform allows its users to relay messages and updates on events in real time as well as on situations and events that are happening which may or may not affect the day to day affairs and activities. It is one of the fastest ways of ways to get your message across to your followers quickly and efficiently as well as replying to them in real time.
The first brand that we will look at is Coca -Cola. With over 260 thousand tweets, they have a following of 3.3 million and 20.8 thousand likes. When looking at the frequency of when they post, they seem to have long periods of time between their tweets and posts. There most recent tweet was dated Oct 23rd, 2018. This post was a poll in which followers decided which venue they would like to grab a hotdog and a coke zero. The next post, dated Oct. 9th2018, is also a poll / video pinwheel where the followers can find out  what the best meal is to have while having a cold coke. The next tweet was dedicated to Taco Day – saying that 35 degree angle is the best angle to enjoy a coke with a Taco on Taco Day.  The rest of the Tweets go on to over events where they deem having a coke would be appropriate. All of these include things like Taco Day or National Cheeseburger Day. They also seem to centre around the events.  that Coca-Cola have sponsored. Some of those are for example the “TOURChampionship”. They also capitalize how to make Coke a very integral part of your holiday celebrations like Labour Day.
The second brand that we will look into is Pepsi. With over 35.4 thousand tweets, they have a following of 3.05 Million and the first tweet on their page is dated Oct. 25th, 2018. When it looks at the frequency that they tweet, Pepsi seems up to date and tweets every day or every other day.  The tweet is a video message where the Footballer Ryan Kerrigan and a few of his collogues discuss the possibility of ghosts. The title of the video is “On the Road to Gameday”. The tweet highlights the partnership between them and the NFL. The second tweet is also deals with their deal with the NFL. Dated Oct 24th its retweeted from the NFL who were asking fans who they thought the Pepsi Rookie of the Week should be. Their next tweet was about an endorsement that they did with Ella Mai with their series called “The Sound Drop”. The next seven tweets all had something to do the NFL or their show “The Sound Drop”. Seems like recently, since football season started they most of the things they tweeted were about that.

As of recent this is the most successful tweet that Pepsi tweeted is as follows:

The one was by far the most successful. I think it was because it was near the beginning of football season. The post is centered around the picking the first Pepsi Rookie of the week. This is one of the first tweets that they tweeted that was interactive with their followers. This could also be why this tweet was   the most successful.

For Coca-Cola, their most successful post is as follow:

When looking at the Twitter, I feel like the Coca – Cola is the one that wins. With its most successful tweet with 178 comments, and 187 retweets it has the most likes (2.0 thousand) which beats anything that they have posted recently posted. One of the things that might have made this one the most successful was the fact that it was the most interactive compared to the others.
It seems like when it comes to twitter Coca-Cola clearly is the winner.
